University of Galway

The University of Galway acts as project lead on Recode, with Dr. Noreen Brennan as lead researcher and Dr. Thomas van Rensburg as project coordinator. The University of Galway team have led previous projects on renewable energy development, energy storage, community engagement and other energy related areas. 

SHAREDTURBINE LTD

Sharedturbine, a project partner, is an Irish SME who has developed a very practical model for developing, financing, construction and operation of renewable energy projects in collaboration with local communities. Declan Collins, who has a host of renewable energy development experience, as lead of the Sharedturbine model will be demonstrating how firstly, a stand-alone locally owned project can be developed using the model. Secondly, he will also demonstrate how a locally owned project can be developed as part of a much larger wind farm using the same development model.
